The producers have held on to their confidence for the past 15 months and believed that ‘Spring will come again.’ Now that Spring’s finally here, Hadestown returns for another terrific tour. Ticket demand is on the rise, so if you’re getting the chance to buy one now, do it ASAP!
After winning eight Tony awards and a Grammy award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2020, Hadestown is set to return for another tour. They have also had their first international production at Seoul, South Korea LG Art Center which was presented by S & Co, a leader in the Korean musical theatre. The producers of the show believe that bringing Hadestown back for live audiences is a revival of theatre itself and is critical to its survival. While it delivers breathtaking performances to the audiences, it is also a symbol of change in the fight for racial, economic, and environmental justice.
Hadestown premiered off-broadway in 2016 at New York Theatre Workshop and played Canadian and London engagements before opening on Broadway in 2019. Written By Anais Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin, it recreates the mythical story of the young Eurydice and Orpheus and that of King Hades and Persephone, his wife. Hades takes the audience to the underworld, whereas Eurydice is tempted by Hades’ offer for a better life. Chavkin’s Tony-winning score promises an enthralling, original, and authentic theatre experience that you surely cannot miss out on! Grab your tickets right now.
